Professor of Physiotherapy

Prof. Dr. Andrea Pfingsten has been a professor at the Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule (OTH) Regensburg since 2016. Her teaching and research focus on the efficacy and effectiveness of physiotherapy modalities, as well as on quality criteria for assessments, emphasizing the integration of academic excellence with practical application.

Following an extensive period of clinical practice, she pursued academic studies and earned her doctorate with a dissertation on physiotherapy in rheumatoid arthritis, systematically evaluating the integration of different study designs.

In addition to her teaching and research, Prof. Dr. Pfingsten is actively engaged in professional policy-making and advancing the academic recognition of physiotherapy in Germany.
